ATM 2023 Emaar Hospitality, based in Dubai, is expanding into the MENA region with 8 new openings
By 2030, it is anticipated that close to 450,000 hotel room keys would be distributed in Saudi Arabia; in contrast, the UAE will have a combined total of about 200,000 rooms, including 140,000 keys for Dubai.
The Emaar Hospitality Group, which has its headquarters in Dubai, stated on Monday that it would launch eight new properties in the Middle East and North Africa region in 2023 and 2024 as a result of the growing demand for hotel rooms, particularly in important cities like Dubai.
In the upcoming quarters, Address Jabal Omar Makkah, Vida Dubai Mall, Vida Creek Beach, Palace Dubai Creek Harbour, Address Marassi Beach Resort in Egypt, Vida Marina Resort & Yacht Club Marassi in Egypt, Vida Aljada, and Vida Residences Cairo Gate will all be added to the portfolio of this major player in the hospitality industry, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties.
"We have seen successful increase in occupancy rates, with 2022 rates increasing from the initial 60% in 2021 to 65% and 74% in 2023, respectively. Our development plans are in line with the region's growing demand for hospitality and will enable us to welcome both domestic and foreign visitors, according to an Emaar representative.
With a total expected stock of close to 450,000 hotel rooms, global real estate firm Knight Frank stated the amount of hotel room keys planned to be supplied in Saudi Arabia by 2030 is nothing short of extraordinary. The overall number of rooms in the UAE, including Dubai's 140,000 keys, is close to 200,000.
