Monday's weather forecast for KSA

May 22, 2023, Riyadh, SPA --The daily weather prediction for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been released by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

In sections of Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the heights of Makkah, the NCM report predicted medium to moderate thunderstorms that produce torrential downpours, along with hail showers and vigorous winds that stir up dust and dust, reducing horizontal vision. In addition, the sky will be partly overcast to cloudy with wet thunderclouds interspersed. These clouds will be accompanied by strong winds, which will reduce horizontal visibility across sections of the Riyadh and Eastern areas. In addition, there is a potential of occasional rain in some areas of Al-Jawf, the Northern Border, and Tabuk due to the dusty surface breezes.

According to the report, surface winds on the Red Sea are moving from the southeast to the southwest, gradually turning westerly on the northern and southern parts at a speed of 15–40 km/h and beyond that at the southern section, where it is pouring thunderstorms. At a speed of 15 to 30 km/h, it will be southwest to northwesterly across the core portion. With thunderstorms over the southern section, waves will be between half a metre and two metres high. Light waves and wavy sea conditions are expected, with thunderstorms over the southern portion.

The study also stated that the direction of the surface winds over the Arabian Gulf would be 15–35 km/h northeasterly on the southern section and 15–35 km/h southerly to southeasterly on the northern part. One to one and a half metres, with heights of up to two metres, rain and thundercloud formation, and mild to medium sea conditions.
