UAE announces new smart driving license

By saving a digital duplicate of their licences in the RTA's smart application, drivers will be able to forgo carrying their physical licences, according to a new service that the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced. Drivers will be able to travel more safely as a result.

Additionally, the authority had previously announced the addition of new delivery services to customers, including the delivery of driving licences and vehicle ownership documents within two hours of receiving confirmation of transaction procedures within Dubai alone, in addition to delivery on the same day in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. In addition to the already-available same-day delivery in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, these new services are available. a fresh service that will deliver packages abroad to customers in nations other than the UAE.

The quantity of delivery requests received in the first quarter of this year

The total number of requests to deliver transactions that occurred during the first three months of this year amounted to 134,640 transactions, according to information that were made available by the authority. There were roughly 107,054 transactions to renew car ownership, 25,500 transactions to renew driver's licences, and 939 transactions to replace damaged or lost driver's licences out of these. The results show that 415 transactions related to the supply of the service of repairing or replacing a damaged or lost car registration and 732 transactions related to the delivery of the service of granting an overseas driving licence were successfully completed.
