Eid Al Adha holiday in the UAE: Residents' favourite vacation spots are revealed
The easy connectivity while flying from the UAE, according to experts, is one of the main reasons for its appeal.
According to travel industry experts, Turkey has become one of the most popular travel destinations since UAE citizens choose it as their top destination for adventure and leisure because of its rich history, beautiful landscapes, and vibrant culture.
Turkey is one of the most sought-after travel destinations for UAE citizens, according to Rashida Zahid, VP of operations at Musafir.com. "As you can see, all of our Eid Al Adha travel packages to Turkey have already been purchased. The demand for the country is back to its 2022 levels, despite a little decline during Eid Al Fitr in 2023, according to Zahid, who also noted that there have been no dips in this year's demand trends for Turkey as a vacation destination.
Popular travel firms like Holiday Factory and Travel Wings are reporting that their Eid Al Adha vacation packages to Turkey are completely booked.
Turkey's well-known locations
According to experts, Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Trabzon, Cappadocia, and Uzungul are the top tourist destinations in Turkey for UAE citizens.
The Blue Mosque and Camlica Hill, Istanbul's tallest hill, are among the city's most popular tourist attractions. While Cappadocia, known for its hot air balloon excursions and cave hotels, has always been a favoured travel destination for tourists, so too have the Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet neighbourhood. Bursa is also well-known for its abundance of natural beauty and flora.
Bodrum, Trabzon, and Uzungul are highly well-liked in the summer because they are coastal cities. In particular, Bodrum is a well-liked destination because of its azure seas, delectable seafood, boating opportunities, and picturesque scenery," stated Zahid.
One major factor is connectivity.
Industry experts emphasised that one of the main reasons why Turkey is so popular with UAE citizens is the easy flight connectivity between the two nations.
Major airlines now offer direct flights from cities in the UAE to Turkish locations including Istanbul and Antalya. This represents a considerable expansion of their travel routes. According to Deepak Kaushik, marketing manager at Tours on Board, the journey has become more convenient as a result of these better travel links.
"Due to the reasonable lodging, dining, and shopping costs, UAE citizens can travel to high-quality destinations without breaking the bank," continued Kaushik.
The starting price for a package to Turkey on a well-known website is Dh3,300, but during the Eid Al Adha holiday, the price of these packages increases to Dh3,999.
The starting price, though, according to Zahid, is Dh4,500 for an all-inclusive vacation package for two people travelling together. "This includes return flights, 4 to 5-star hotel accommodations, city tours to some of the most well-known and prominent locations in Turkey, such as Istanbul, Cappadocia, etc., as well as flights to Cappadocia (or other internal flights), daily breakfast, selected meals, activities, entry tickets, airport transfers, an English-speaking guide, and much more."
Packages to Turkey do not, however, include the cost of optional tours, PCR testing for non-vaccinated visitors, or visa fees. "We get a lot of questions about the extra Turkish visa that is required. Travellers from certain nationalities who have valid UK, USA, or Schengen visas can obtain an electronic visa for Turkey, according to Dhas Anthony, general manager of Rejoice Travel & Tourism and a visa expert.
"With all valid documents, the Turkey visa can take up to 15 working days."
