ERC sends out a medical caravan to remote Latakia
In support of Joint Operations Command's Operation Gallant Knight 2 in Latakia Governorate's rural districts, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has started a medical convoy.
LATAKIA, 27th April, 2023 (WAM) : Over 800 Syrians received specialised medical care from the convoy, including gynaecology, paediatrics, general medicine, and internal medicine.
As part of the UAE's humanitarian and relief efforts to lessen the suffering of families devastated by the earthquake that struck the country on February 6, 2023, the initiative is organised in cooperation with the Health Directorate in Latakia.
According to a member of the ERC delegation, the convoy was intended for low-income residents of rural areas who were in need of hospitals with little resources. As part of the campaign, medical supplies, baby formula, and blood pressure and diabetes measuring monitors were delivered.
The UAE is still working to assist the Syrian people while their nation recovers and is rebuilt by sending food, medical equipment, and medications while also examining the requirements of various sectors.
