Mozambique's president is invited by Mohamed bin Zayed to COP28

Mr. President, Your Highness Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique, received a letter from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan inviting him to the COP28 Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will take place in Dubai Expo City in November.

Saeed Mohamed Saeed Baamran, Charge d'Affaires at the UAE Embassy in Mozambique, handed the letter to Veronica Macamo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Mozambique.

COP 28 UAE

The Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, also known as COP28 or the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, will be the 28th such gathering and will take place at Dubai's Expo City from November 30 through December 12, 2023.Since the 1992 signing of the first UN climate agreement, the meeting has been conducted yearly. Governments utilise it to reach consensus on measures to rein in global temperature increases and prepare for the effects of climate change.[4] The UAE will work to bring the world together in support of bold, doable, and ambitious solutions to the most serious global issue of our time during this pivotal decade for climate action.
