Flights Flydubai are running smoothly after the Russian drone strike by Ukraine

One flight was diverted and one was delayed this morning, according to a spokeswoman.

Russian accusations that Ukrainian drones had been caught nearby led to two Moscow flights being impacted this morning—one diverted and one delayed, according to Dubai-based airline Flydubai.

An airline representative said that following this morning's interruption, flights are now running according to schedule. This morning, the carrier's flight from Vnukovo International Airport (VKO) to Dubai was delayed by four hours, and the flight from Dubai to Vnukovo was diverted to Domodedovo Airport (DME), 55 kilometres away.

The incident, which is thought to have caused the delays, was not addressed by the spokesman. The incident was described as a "terrorist attack" by the Russian foreign ministry and was carried out by the "Kyiv regime" in a statement.

Flights from Turkey and Egypt to Vnukovo were also momentarily hampered. According to representatives of the Kremlin's defence ministry, its air defences intercepted four Ukrainian drones, while a fifth drone crashed after becoming blocked.

As Ukrainian soldiers launch a counteroffensive against Russia's invasion, fighting is still going on there.
