Abu Dhabi Unveils New Railway Services Across the UAE
A major development, as announced on Wednesday, is the planned introduction of a new railway service that will link Al Dhannah in Al Dhafra with Abu Dhabi City.

The agreement, a landmark collaboration between Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE National Rail Network, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), paves the way for enhanced connectivity and accessibility.

Al Dhannah, located approximately 250 kilometers west of Abu Dhabi, has undergone a transformation. It began to change from a sleepy desert town in the 1970s when Adnoc determined it would be an ideal location to house its industrial staff. Al Dhannah is ready for the next stage of its development now that railway services have been established.

One of the key outcomes of this collaboration is the ease with which Adnoc employees can travel between the capital city and Al Dhannah via a convenient and efficient train service.
