Dubai civil defence douses fire in a wooden boat
A little fire that started in a wooden boat was put out by Dubai Civil Defence. There were no recorded fatalities as a result of the incident.
An earlier report of a fire breaking out on a wooden boat was received by the operations room of the Dubai Civil Defence at 3:27am on Monday.
At 3:33 am, fire engines from the marine rescue firefighting station in Al Marfa Point arrived at the fire's scene, achieving a reaction time of six minutes.
The moderate fire was discovered to have started in a wooden boat.
As a result, specialised teams from Al Hamriyah Fire Station relocated for support and backup and got to work on evacuating people and putting out fires.
At 4:15am, the fire commander sent a signal indicating that the fire had been put out without causing any casualties and that the essential steps had been taken.
The fire commander gave the all-clear at 8:44am, signalling that the situation was being put out and would then be turned over to the appropriate authorities in accordance with the procedures followed.
