The Dubai Police Station reports no traffic-related deaths in the first half of 2023
In the first half of 2023, no traffic-related deaths occurred in the jurisdiction of a Dubai police station. This compares to the nine traffic-related deaths documented over the same period the previous year.
Brigadier Sultan Abdullah Al Aweys, Director of Al Qusais Police Station, emphasised the significance of the jurisdiction area, which extends nearly 77 square kilometres and includes a broad range of residential, commercial, and industrial zones such as Al Nahda, Al Twar, and Al Muhaisnah.
He praised the combined efforts of the Station's Traffic Records Section, in collaboration with the General Department of Traffic, that resulted to this accomplishment. He stressed the importance of a variety of activities and traffic campaigns, as well as the skills of well-trained patrol personnel, in improving road safety.
Brig. Al Aweys also lauded the Station's Customer Happiness Section, which recorded 1,116 in-person transactions in the first half of 2023, compared to 1,328 in the first half of 2022. Furthermore, the Section registered 43,122 smart transactions in the first half of this year, surpassing the 35,366 transactions reported in the same period last year. Furthermore, the Smart Police Station (SPS) completed 600 transactions in the first half of this year, a significant increase from the 301 transactions conducted in the same period last year.
