The purpose of the celebration was to celebrate Said Khatib and Professor Jalila Al Tritar, the prize recipients, for their outstanding contributions to their respective disciplines.

While Professor Al Tritar's work "Women Views: Studies on Arab Women Self Writings" received the Art and Literary Criticism Award, Khatib's book "The End of the Desert" won the Young Author Award.

The winners got the chance to participate in a round table discussion with participants during the event. The awardees shared their experiences and sources of inspiration with the audience during this interactive session, which created a venue for a beneficial exchange of ideas.

Following the roundtable discussion, there was a signing event for the prize-winning books, where guests could meet the authors in person, get their books autographed, and continue the conversation about their works.
